They've spent their entire lives in cages. Some have never been petted. Most were used as breeding machines.Dozens of miniature pinschers needing a home -- and lots of love -- are among the 97 rescued by the Humane Society of Broward County this month.

FORT LAUDERDALE — Most of them are under 10 pounds, but the buzz surrounding them is huge. Word that the Humane Society of Broward County rescued more than 100 miniature pinschers from a suspected puppy mill in Mississippi has created a steady parade of potential human owners.
